Hitman 5 Absolution
Hitman 5 Absolution

It has been revealed by IO Interactive that the new Hitman Absolution game will feature individual personalities, names, and identities for every single character. This will result in over 2,000 pages of scripts and dialogue.

This means that every bystander, guard and enemy in the game will be completely unique. So there should be no more need to listen to the same lines over and over again, like in other games.

This will also differ to previous Hitman games where some missions had crowds of anonymous people milling about. Characters in the new Hitman 5 will also be more talkative.

The director, Tor Blystad has said that the final content will depend on how much they can pack into the game, due to the limitations of memory and logistics. But they will put in as much as possible, and have fully prepared for it. “We have a script of 2000 pages for the AI alone. It’s huge.”

Hitman 5 will be released sometime in 2012, though there is still no concrete date.

Some new screenshots have emerged for the upcoming Hitman game. The graphics look superb, and Agent 47 looks pretty badass as usual.

The screenshots seem to show him dressed as a clergy with the full collar. One of his disguises no doubt.

An elbow to the face is a great problem solver

Always important to hide the dead body

Co-op Unlikely To Happen In Hitman 5

January 26th, 2012 | Posted by hitman in News - (0 Comments)

IO Interactive, the developers of Hitman Absolution, had considered making co-op part of the upcoming Hitman game, but according to the game director, Tore Blystad, it just “never felt right”.

We can see how this may be the case. Agent 47 is a lone assassin, he does not need help. In fact, it would be strange to have this silent, mysterious, and brooding killer working with anyone else on a hit.

Blystad has said, “Agent 47 is a loner and we have never found a way to give him a partner, because to be honest, he doesn’t need one.” We wholeheartedly agree.

Hitman: Absolution, or Hitman 5, is the fifth title in the Hitman franchise featuring the bald headed antagonist Agent 47.

Storyline

The story continues from where it left off in the previous game, Blood Money. Diana, his former handler, and the company who she works for, do not know the whereabouts of Agent 47.

Several trailers have been released which shows Agent 47 storming a safehouse and confronting Diana while she is having a shower. A further trailer implies that Diana has been killed by Agent 47.

Confirmed Features in Hitman: Absolution

Some of the game will be set in Chicago, while the rest will take place around other parts of the USA.

A new “Instinct Mode” puts players into the mind of Agent 47, showing where to go, routes to take, and locations of NPCs. Instinct mode can be disabled if preferred.

Hitman Absolution will have checkpoints.

Similar to other third person shooters, Agent 47 will have the ability take cover and peek around corners.

During some missions there will be cutscenes.

More methods of close quarter killing, utilizing firearms and other items.
